Nov 4… Badal Danda to Forest Camp

A quick post from today…

Well, the final stages of the adventure.. 🥲…today we started the last three days of our trek with a walk down from “Cloud Hill” to Forest Camp where we are staying tonight. It was a short day and we arrived by lunchtime after a lovely walk through the rhododendron forest that became denser and taller as we descended in altitude. We encountered morning pack trains heading up and scores of hikers heading up the Mardi Himal route. We passed places we had walked through on the ascent: Low Camp, Rest Camp. At Rest Camp we picked up some of our gear that we didn’t need Hire to pack to High Camp, then made our way here to Forest Camp. High Camp is a lovely collection of guesthouses in the woods, and we’ve had a restful afternoon (including a hot shower!).

It’s been such a once in a lifetime adventure and we are so grateful for our time here. Two more nights on trail before returning to Kathmandu and flights home!
