Travel Notes and Pictures

A webpage of Angus and Alison's Trip to Nepal October – November 2026

This part of trip planning has been fun in trying to anticipate what is needed to support a healthy safe trek which will take us to high elevation, physically demanding, and remote. Our guide has been very helpful in answering questions and we’ve consulted family doc and pharmacist. We’ve updated a few vaccinations (cholera, typhoid), and put GI antibiotics, altitude sickness, Imodium, ibuprofen, Tylenol, dextrose, electrolytes, etc. into the kit. Good quality photo chromatic sunglasses, sunblock, lip balm, brimmed hats, GPS, eat more bars, peanuts, instant coffee and chai. Phew! Where are we gonna pack clothes (including down jackets and merino layers), sleeping bags, rain gear, etc.?

Part of traveling is the fun of prep and list making before departure! Ali has spent time at the sewing machine making extra pockets and modifications to our back packs. Looking forward to departure date on the 12th!
