Walking in Europe

Wow, what a few days of old time “backpack travelling.” Thanks Emily for dropping us in Trail on Saturday morning. Pacific Coastal Air to YVR, check in at Iceland Air, through customs and a flight to Zürich with a short stop in Reykjavik. Arrived Zürich on Sunday to nice hostel room close to the bus station (but jet lag grrr…). Early start this morning on a 4 hr bus to Milan with a change to a 3 hour bus to the French alpine village Chamonix in time for a pizza dinner. Long day but incredible landscapes to look at as we crossed from Switzerland to Italy then back into France. Winding mountain roads, beautiful rolling farm landscapes, and so many tunnels! Tonight we are tucked into a very nice hostel. Just up the road is a smaller community, Les Houches, where will start the Tour de Mont Blanc on Thursday morning.
