Walking in Europe

A blog of Angus and Alison's walking tour of the Tour de Mont Blanc, Via degli Dei the Dobratsch Circuit in Carinthia, Austria, the Dolomites, Venice, and Iceland

Sept 15..Ok…today was a big day: 136kms and just over 600 kms since pushing off from Zurich. A big day but fabulous: the very moving American memorial at Montsec, the preserved destroyed village at Remenauville, and the preserved trenches in the Boit Brule and Boit D’Ally. I’ll have more pictures to add and more descriptions in the morning!

I am amazed at the kilometers you are accomplishing each day plus finding time to see the memorials and sights. Long days. Well done!

Yes long days. On the road at 8:30 and not off till 6:30-7. Garmin navigation is so helpful. Sometimes we are up hill tracks to find some of the graveyards. Always worth it. So moving.

Impressive distances, especially Tom on his period bike!

Tom is indefatigable! With four gears and some missing spokes, he is leaving me behind!
