Walking in Europe

A blog of Angus and Alison's walking tour of the Tour de Mont Blanc, Via degli Dei the Dobratsch Circuit in Carinthia, Austria, the Dolomites, Venice, and Iceland

Arrived in Zurich yesterday, located the used bike and its very friendly and accommodating seller I met on facebook marketplace and have enjoyed today adding a few additional components and purchasing a few camping supplies (tent pegs and stove fuel not permitted on the plane). Zurich is a beautiful city, and made for cycling. The streets are easily navigated, some are cobble stone, so I assume very old. The bike (velo) shop I purchased supplies from let me use their repair shop and any tools I needed to install. People are so friendly and effortlessly switch languages. Iโ€™m on a bit of a schedule, so have not been able to take in some of the sights. Kunsthaus Museum of Art will have to wait! Tomorrow my goal is riding to Basel or close to it.

Hope you arenโ€™t too jet-lagged! Great to hear you are being taken care of by the friendly Swiss folks. Big hugs to you. xoxo

Iโ€™m glad the bike wasnโ€™t a bait-and-switch (motorcycle style)! Safe cycles, Angus!!
