Welcome reader! On this site I hope to keep you informed and entertained with posts and reflections along the Western Front Way, one of the world’s longest linear memorials and a pathway for reflection on peace. I’m joining relatives and friends for this 1000 km ride from Pfetterhouse, France to Neiuwpoort, Belgium through beautiful landscapes and communities, stopping at memorial markers and sacred places, to reflect on the immense tragedy of war, and to contemplate peace in our troubled world. Looking forward to staying in touch with family and friends back in Canada through this site.

Angus – Erik and I are late voyeurs on this adventure of yours. We wish you a safe & wonderful cycle and know you will be moved by what you see. We still get chills when we reminisce about our prolonged visit to the Western Front cemeteries and memorials many years ago. It is certainly an experience that makes one aware of the terrible tolls of war and the delicate gift of peace.
