  • Regional flight from Trail to Vancouver today and just about to board for Zurich. It is really exciting to be starting the trip, but I will miss Alison so much! The longest we will be apart in over two decades!

  • I’ve been trying to get some kms of preparation in, but with limited success. The Blewett Road/49 Creek/Hwy 3A loop from Nelson has been a great “go to” for getting ready for the Vosges Range. The Georama Rd hill up to Granite Rd gets me every time! Four more sleeps!

  • With six more sleeps before flying to Zurich, I’m figuring out what to take that can be transferred to two rear panniers and a front handlebar pack. I’m hoping to camp wherever possible and cook a few meals on a camp stove. I’ll need a few tools to fix a flat, cycling shoes and helmet,…
