Regional flight from Trail to Vancouver today and just about to board for Zurich. It is really exciting to be starting the trip, but I will miss Alison so much! The longest we will be apart in over two decades!

I’ve been trying to get some kms of preparation in, but with limited success. The Blewett Road/49 Creek/Hwy 3A loop from Nelson has been a great “go to” for getting ready for the Vosges Range. The Georama Rd hill up to Granite Rd gets me every time! Four more sleeps!

With six more sleeps before flying to Zurich, I’m figuring out what to take that can be transferred to two rear panniers and a front handlebar pack. I’m hoping to camp wherever possible and cook a few meals on a camp stove. I’ll need a few tools to fix a flat, cycling shoes and helmet,…
